PlayStation 3 sells 88,400 units
Saturday, November 11th, 2006Enterbrain reported PlayStation 3 launch sales figures today. 88,400 units were sold, with the 60GB model comprising a majority of sales. 54,600 units were of the 60GB model and 33,800 units of the 20GB model were sold. This compares favorably against the Xbox360 last year, which launched to lackluster sales of 62,135 units.
Wii pre-order craziness
Thursday, November 9th, 2006Shibuya Tsutaya started their Wii pre-orders today, opening the store at the regular time of 10am, and selling out of pre-orders by lunchtime. The time taken to process the orders was ridiculous, but it looks like they’ve taken somewhere between 250-300 pre-orders today.
